This Privacy Policy explains how SellerEdge collects, uses, stores, protects, shares, and deletes information when you use our SaaS platform and related services that integrate with Amazon's Selling Partner API (SP-API).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your data is handled securely and responsibly, in full compliance with Amazon's Data Protection Policy (DPP) and applicable data protection standards.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to operate SellerEdge and provide you with a secure, efficient, and reliable experience.

a. Account Information

When you register for SellerEdge, we collect:

  • Your name, email address, and password
  • Business details such as company name, Amazon Seller ID, and marketplace region
  • Payment and subscription information (processed securely through third-party providers)

b. Amazon SP-API Data

When you connect your Amazon account to SellerEdge, you authorize us to access specific data through the Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API), including:

  • Product listings, inventory, pricing, and catalog information
  • Order summaries, performance metrics, and business analytics

We do not collect, store, or display any Amazon Buyer Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as customer names, shipping addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses, unless explicitly permitted under Amazon's DPP.

c. Automatically Collected Data

We may automatically collect:

  • Device type, browser version, and IP address
  • Login timestamps and usage patterns
  • Cookies or similar technologies for authentication, analytics, and service improvement

You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data only to provide and improve our services. This includes:

  • Operating and maintaining the SellerEdge platform
  • Authenticating users and securing account access
  • Syncing and analyzing your authorized Amazon data
  • Providing analytics, reports, and optimization recommendations
  • Communicating updates, support messages, and security alerts
  • Monitoring system performance and ensuring compliance

We do not sell or rent your data and we never use Amazon data for advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.

3. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices to safeguard your data and ensure compliance with Amazon's DPP:

  • Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest (AES-256 or equivalent).
  • Access Controls: Data access is restricted to authorized personnel who need it for legitimate operational reasons.
  • Secure Hosting: SellerEdge operates on reputable, access-controlled infrastructure with strict security monitoring.
  • Auditing: We regularly review and monitor data access logs for compliance and security integrity.
  • Token Protection: Amazon SP-API credentials are encrypted and never stored in plain text.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

SellerEdge shares data only when necessary and under strict data protection conditions.

  • With Amazon: To perform authorized SP-API operations as you request.
  • With Service Providers: Trusted partners who assist with hosting, billing, analytics, or communications—each bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • For Legal Reasons: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize integrations with other third-party applications.

We never share Amazon Buyer PII or your business data with unauthorized third parties.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account and SP-API data only for as long as needed to provide our services or meet legal requirements.

If you delete your SellerEdge account or revoke Amazon SP-API authorization, all associated tokens and data are securely deleted within 30 days, in accordance with Amazon's DPP.

Aggregated or anonymized information may be retained for analytics and system improvement purposes.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have control over your data. You can:

  • Access, update, or delete your account information
  • Revoke Amazon SP-API access at any time
  • Request deletion of your stored data by contacting us

7. International Data Handling

SellerEdge may process and store data in multiple regions, depending on hosting and infrastructure configurations.

8. Compliance with Amazon's Data Protection Policy (DPP)

SellerEdge complies fully with Amazon's Data Protection Policy by ensuring:

  • Data is used solely for the authorized purpose.
  • Buyer PII is never retained or disclosed beyond permitted scope.
  • Data access is logged, monitored, and auditable.
  • All data is encrypted, protected, and deleted as required.
  • Personnel receive ongoing data protection and security training.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or Amazon's data policies.

When updates are made, the new version will be published here with a revised “Last Updated” date.

If changes are significant, we will notify users via email or an in-app message before they take effect.
